1. I feel most comfortable teaching ELA standards W/WHST.8 “Use Multiple Sources” and RI.7 “Multimedia:” Informational Text. This is because I feel that my partner and I came across these standards multiple times during our practice worksheet. I also feel like I have worked with them many times  during my personal career as a student. I also feel that I am quite versed in all three of the producing ELA standards which include, W/WHST.2 “Write to explain/inform,” W/WHST.6 “Use Technology,” and SL.5 “Use Digital Media.” I have used all of these standards as a student in my years in school for many projects, papers, and assignments. I need to expand my knowledge and learn more about the ELA standards RI.5 “Text Structure:” Informational Text because I feel that I have not worked enough with this standard in class or in my school career.

2. I really loved doing the Newsletter assignment. I already knew a lot of the skills that we used to create this document, but I did learn a few new things as well. I did not know how to use the column feature or shade in boxes/tables. These are two new tools that will be very helpful in my future as both a student and a professional because I am a creative writing major. I want to work in the publishing and editing world and learning how to format documents is very useful in that line of work.  I honestly love almost everything about my newsletter because it is very cohesive. Everything comes together smoothly and the coloring goes together quite nicely. The only thing I would do next time is add more graphics.
