I chose to use Garageband to record my voice and intend to post it online (if I were an actual teacher today) for my students. This is primarily for anyone who missed class or needs a refresher on the topics discussed in class today. (Please see email!!)

1. As a teacher, I will use surveys on Excel to get feedback on my performance as a teacher. I will also use it to get to know my students better and see how they feel about certain things. I will most likely be teaching English in high school. I want my students to be able to tell me how they are feeling about things in class in an anonymous way. Surveys will be perfect for that. 2. I found YouTube to be an interesting topic on most people's blogs throughout the semester. No matter what the subject was, Youtube was always referenced back to. YouTube is a great source for finding instructional videos in the classroom. Facebook was also referenced to which I thought was interesting. I never thought about Facebook as a tool for the classroom. 3. I would like to learn about prezi next. Prezi is very cool and looks great creatively, but I do not know how to navigate it. I want to learn about Prezi because it is more interesting than PowerPoint. I plan on watching tutorials on YouTu...

1. A "Flipped classroom" is a classroom where most of the work or prep work for the class is done outside of the classroom, usually before class. Then they do homework or ask questions on what they prepped for when they get to class. The lessons are given outside of the classroom. This would make it easier for kids who miss class to still be able to learn. I think that "Flipped Classrooms" are an excellent idea to maximize time in the classroom and not waste any resources. https://www.knewton.com/infographics/flipped-classroom/ 2. Open Education is something that is usually offered online. It is great for parents or people that don't have a lot of time on their hands to spend going to classes. Open content reminds me off when we use the Creative Commons in our projects. We don't need permission to use it. Open source is software that we use thats free. Khan Academy is an example of this.  https://opensource.com/education/13/4/guide-open-source-education ...

1. Adaptive technologies are useful for people with disabilities. These technologies support them by helping them excel the way a child without a disability would. For example, there are adapted keyboards that have bigger keys that are further apart for those who are visually impaired. This adaptive technology would help these individuals excel in the classroom. I do not know anyone who has used such technologies 2. In lower SES communities these adaptive technologies may be harder to gain access to. This is because adaptive technologies are pricier and low SES communities may not be able to afford them. Also, some students may have trouble learning how to use these technologies. Teachers may not be aware of some of the technologies available. There should be a class teachers can take to learn how to better accommodate these students. 3. EdTech Update is a site where teachers can learn about new technology as well as new discoveries about existing technologies for the classroom....

PLNs 1.  edWeb.net  : This is is a website where teachers can communicate and share ideas with each other as well as work together on different projects or lessons. Teachers can also practice using different technologies. They can also mentor each other. 2. http://plpnetwork.com/  : This is a "professional development program" for teachers. It is designed to help them expand their knowledge of different ways to conduct classroom activities and learn about technologies they can use to better convey their lessons and connect better with their students.

1. I love twitter I think it has been very useful in this class. I can see what my peers' opinions are on certain topics as well as express my own. It is a quick way to be straight to the point. I have learned how twitter works and how it can be used to communicate information. Twitter is beneficial in spreading information quickly and effectively. I love using twitter in the classroom and that in my personal life. I have not been experiencing any issues. 2. I have never created a website before so this was an entirely new experience for me. I loved it so much! I learned how to edit and add pages to my website. I really like the theme and look of my website. I don't really like my bio! I would like to improve on the bio as well as adding more blog posts for parents and adding more pages! This will be very useful when I have to create my own class websites in the future. My website is not publishing! 3. Diigo is an interesting tool. I love it and I hate it. It is very easy ...

I want to be an English Teacher, so for my project I used iMovie to teach my students about the rhetorical appeals of Ethos, Logos, and Pathos! I loved using iMovie.
